The problem

Battery-pack engineering test software needed a modern implementation and a way to support packs with different signals and configurations.

My work

I helped define and guide the core application design. Another developer took ownership of that portion, developing it further as new requirements emerged. I personally implemented the custom CAN mapping functionality.

I also handled the end-of-project handoff and presentation, explaining the business value and technical capabilities we delivered.

Engineering decisions

Make signal mapping configurable

I implemented configurable CAN mapping so the application could support different pack signals and configurations.

Where things stand

The team delivered a modern .NET implementation with configurable signal mapping to support different battery-pack configurations.

What I’m still working on

Handoff feedback from this early AI-assisted project reinforced the importance of consistent code and maintainability. I took that into our later planning and review practices.
